My life has changed big time. And this website is shifting with it. For the foreseeable future it will be primarily art focused, as I explore my new passion (or perhaps finally expressing a passion I have always had!). Writing won’t die – and I expect words will chart my journey of re-beginning at various stages, but imagery has a profound impact on me and is the place I feel most at home these days.

I find the depth and subtlety of art, particularly abstract art, very meaningful. I am struggling with exact definitions as I discover who I am becoming, so art is a way of me expressing this journey without having to ‘pin it down’.

Life is a moving, vibrant thing.

By pinning it down, we lose that movement, that passion, the joyous if painful transitions. And sometimes we need to ‘de-pin’ – to let loose that which we have tried to nail down, that which we have struggled to keep in boxes.

I will gradually add to my portfolio on this website (I am using Instagram as my main outlet at the moment) and plan to use this blog as a way of reflecting on my work or sharing a concept behind an artwork – although that concept may be fuzzy.

I have learned not to be afraid of fuzzy.
