Lucy Hannah is an emerging mixed-media artist.

Lucy explores the strata of life through art, with a particular focus on making felt. She loves colour, texture and exploring how things work together. Connection is important to her and she finds meaning in the visible and invisible layers of her work.

She uses water and friction to create felt landscapes out of dyed and brushed wool, then adds detail later using special felting needles, embroidery and beading. Find out more here.

She also uses paint – occasionally using brushes, but often other tools to experiment with texture and pattern – including paper itself.

Art, for Lucy, is a form of discovery, a pathway to joy and a tactile journey of playful experimentation. She finds particular inspiration in the changing moods of sea and sky – appropriate for her birthplace of North Devon.

She posts frequently on her Instagram artist profile – check this out here.
