Dreaming of Summer by Lucy Hannah
Take a journey through my art
Heartfelt

Feltmaking is my primary artform. My works tread a line between abstract and representational, often recognisable as seascapes or country scenes with elements such as rocks, trees, boats and waves, but keeping a simplicity of form which reflects my freestyle way of working.
I love feltmaking as it is so tactile, and there is an element of discovery of how it turns out! I generally start out by wet felting, then may then choose to use needlefelting to add further detail. Then it’s time for decorative stitching, beading and embellishments… Again, enjoying texture under my hands.
Inspired often by coast, wetlands, trees and country, I have a great affinity for sky and its sense of spaciousness.
